Artist's Comments

I was at the end of a "clear my mind" walk, camera in hand, when I saw this little one on the ground. I walked back to see what it was doing there. My heart dropped...it was hurt. I'd been wanting to get a nice shot one for days but not like this. :( So anyways, I got it a flower and it went to the flower right away! It was obvious its wings and some legs were hurt though. My heart just shattered. I got another flower for it and felt bad in a way. I thought I was prolonging its pain but maybe it will have a chance to dry off or something and be okay...who knows. Maybe it will have comfy feelings and be able to go to sleep and...go. I hope that's the case. I got a couple of pictures and kept apologizing, telling it I wasn't going to hurt it. Yes, I know, I'm weird. :P What can I say, I love nature. Whatever the case, that kinda explains the odd angles on the flower and little one. <3

You're so sweet. It's too bad it had to be such a sad circumstance to get such a great photo..

Awr, yeah. I did go back the next day and...the little guy was gone! o: So either it got enough strength and energy from the flowers I got for it to fly home or something got to it. I'd like to think it got home safely...

Were it not for darkness, there would be no light. Each echoing, bringing forth the beauty and goodness of the other...
